Giving time

The Besom in Taunton aims to enable local Christians to serve in the community. An important part of what we do is to offer to pray with people we support. All time-givers give their time freely. If you would like to get involved in any of the activities below, please contact us.

  • Van team

    Spend time helping to collect, load, and deliver donated furniture and other household equipment, and see people’s lives changed.

  • In the warehouse

    Give time in the warehouse cleaning furniture, sorting donated bedlinen, curtains and household equipment, and packing boxes of kitchen equipment and bedding for “starter packs”.

  • Projects

    As part of a small team, provide support by decorating or clearing gardens.

  • Furniture repairs

    Sometimes a piece of furniture just needs a little work - replacement handles, a nail here and there or some sanding and painting.
